Do you always forget your shampoo? Or is it your floss? Or you remembered your floss, but forgot those important papers for the big meeting? Or is it something different every time you travel?
It’s hard to remember everything you need every time you travel! So the best idea I’ve come across is The Master Travel List. Here’s how it works:
1. On your computer, write a list of everything you’ve ever needed when you travel.
2. When it’s time to pack, print out a copy of your list, and cross out each item as you pack it. (If you’re not taking something on your master list for a particular trip, just cross it out on your printout.)
It’s that simple!! If it’s on your list, you’ll remember to pack it. This even works for things you need the morning of your trip and can’t pack until the last minute, like your toothbrush or medication. The items you haven’t packed yet won’t be crossed off your list, so you’ll know you still need to pack it after you use it.
By keeping the list in your computer files, you can easily add or delete items, always keeping your list up-to-date for your needs.
To get you started, here’s my list. You can use it as a starting point and modify it, so it’s best suited for your travel needs.
Happy Packing!
