7 Useful Internet Resources for Traveling with Kids

Taking your pets and kids to vacations and travel can be fun but can also provide quite a challenge. You’re always drawing the borderline between keeping them safe and letting them enjoy the day out. Aside from visiting travel websites, it would also be a good idea to check websites that offer practical tips, advice, and even activities to keep you kids busy and behaved while traveling. I’ve compiled a list of 7 great websites that do just so:

  1. Activities for Kids - this site answers majority of our FAQs: packing advice, what to bring, road trip games, camping tips, and even single-page printouts of games you can play with your kids to keep them busy.

  2. Travel for Kids - on this site you can see fun things to do with kids categorized by continent. There’s even a trip planner, a list of fun places to stay, a currency converter, and travel tips as well.
  3. Kids can Travel - is another great website which gives information on family travel tips, family travel guides, games while on the road, and where to stay with children.
  4. Mom’s Minivan - provides travel tips for kids plus 101 car games, road games, and travel games for kids. The site also provides games for toddlers, kids, and even babies.
  5. Flying with Kids - this site offers air travel tips for those traveling with an infant, baby or toddler, a travel shop for baby and child care accessories, and even reviews of airplane travel products.
  6. Travel Sense - provides detailed advice for traveling with children starting with pre-departure, at the airport, on the flight, travel by car, at the hotel, and a lot of other information on transportation, trip planning, packing tips and travel alerts.
  7. Epinions - a review site established in 1999 wherein anyone can read reviews on a variety of things, including traveling with children posted by real people based on real experience.

Safety should always be first on our list particularly when traveling with children, as well as making sure that they’re as comfortable as possible during the travel, when you get to your destination, and the travel going home. If well planned, traveling with kids can be both fun and rewarding - for you and your kid, too.
